Our specialty coffees are of the highest quality and international standards. Grown in São Paulo state in Brazil, our beans are roasted in a small-scale, artisanal manner, made only with select Arabica beans.
Perfect for your coffee shop
1) Bitterness virtually absent – For starters, specialty coffee does not have a taste marked by bitterness, so common in traditional everyday coffee. You know that story about the coffee you need to add sugar on because it is so bitter? Well, this is a frequent feature of traditional coffee. Specialty coffee does not ask for sugar or sweetener, as its flavor is marked by characteristics that are even fruity or with touches of chocolate or caramel, for example.
2) Lighter roast – Another very striking feature is the roasting: specialty coffees usually only demand a medium roast, since the beans have all been carefully selected, therefore its flavor is entirely appreciated. Unlike traditional coffees, which generally have a much darker roast (in order to hide defects), as the beans are not previously selected, thus present a more bitter (almost burned-like) taste.
3) Acidity – In addition, specialty coffees do not have an extremely pronounced acidity. That is, for those who suffer from a stomach problem, for example, specialty coffees are more suitable. But it’s not just the reduced acidity and lower bitterness that special coffees stand out. Its aroma is also very striking and the sweetness of a beautiful cup is also worth mentioning, especially when compared to traditional coffee.
4) Aroma – The aromas of specialty coffees are quite striking and usually fruity. The beverage, when it comes to specialty coffee, has a quite remarkable body and does not leave an aftertaste on the palate.
5) Body – Specialty coffee is usually quite full-bodied, yet another very striking feature of specialty coffees.
6) Flavors – In addition to sweetness, roasting, acidity, aroma and body, the flavors present in a special coffee are very striking. This is because only higher quality grains are used, usually 100% Arabica or blends of superior grains. In this way, in relation to traditional coffee, specialty coffees have always greater quality and superior flavor.
